American Planning Association releases new Wildland-Urban Interface guide – April 2019

A new resource for planners and other professionals was released by the American Planning Association (APA). Molly Mowery served as lead co-author on PAS Report 594 Planning the Wildland-Urban Interface—a report that provides strategies and tools for addressing wildfire risk for communities across the United States. Content includes a history of the WUI, a discussion on hazard and risk, and examples of communities that have adopted plans and regulations to address wildfire.
