Funded under the CPAW program, WPI co-developed an update to the Missoula County, Montana Community Wildfire Protection Plan. WPI worked with Wildland Professional Solutions and the USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station to collaborate with local stakeholders and create a plan framework that aligns with the National Cohesive Strategy. Updates to the plan also focused on a revised definition of the wildland-urban interface, a countywide hazard assessment, and actions for resilient landscapes, fire-adapted communities, and improved wildfire response.
